I think this method is one of the most common used because it combines almost all the skills,
oral and body language is used to communicate any information and both are an easy way to make people understand what you want to say.
A good example of his could be the technic that professor Matthew used with us in the class of Friday, we don't know anything about the Korean language but he used body language to make us understand that he wanted us to repite some words so that's what I think that this is a complete method because you make a mixture of many languages skills.

It was actually Mandarin, not Korean. But I'm glad you liked it.

You are absolutely correct that a combination of oral language and body language can express a wide variety of ideas, even when the listener has limited language ability. That is one reason that Ts need to (a) use body language in class and (b) occasionally assist students to both use and interpret body language (often as a part of teaching listening).
That said, TPR is focused on teaching language via movement. For example, I might say "kick" and pretend to kick a ball. Then I might say "sleep" and pretend to sleep. TPR is much more than body language (and it actually has a lot of limitations).
Thank you for your post, Carlos. I hope I was able to help clear up any misunderstanding.
